Chrome Arc Welder |
Up until now accepted method for me to run Android APK Apps on desktop was using Blue Stacks, an Android Emulator. I just got linked alternative method, which might be quite a bit better solution. It involves Chrome browser app called Arc Welder.
Here is what you need to do:
1. You need to be running Chrome browser version 41+ on a Windows, Mac, Linux or a Chromebook. If you hacked something else to run it, that might work as well.
2. You need to install Arc Welder app from Chrome Store, its free, its by Google, and it installs exactly same as all other Chrome apps, with one click. Get it here:
http://goo.gl/gAn0Xh or https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/arc-welder/emfinbmielocnlhgmfkkmkngdoccbadn
3. And you need your APK. There are many ways to get APK's onto your machine, I use http://apps.evozi.com/
From there its as simple as opening Arc Welder, attaching your APK, and hitting "Launch". If you feel like messing with settings you can do that prior to hitting launch.
Thats all there is to it.
